No Summer Holiday for TWP

TWP, The Corporate Finance Network's founding member in the Surrey region, have avoided the usual ‘summer slowdown' with a bumper crop of deals, including advising on an acquisition of a hotel.

The client approached the Corporate Finance team at TWP, lead by Philip Munk, when they were considering a purchase of a business in the hotel and leisure industry.  Philip, who was assisted by Paul Hawksley, played a key role in the project throughout, including conducting a due diligence investigation in order to assess the future sustainability of the target company, and identifying potential liabilities.

He also had extensive involvement in the negotiation process, advising the client on the most suitable structure of the deal, as well as an appropriate purchase price, and issues surrounding stamp duty.

The deal was completed in June 2010, for a consideration of £500,000 with both the client and TWP hoping to develop a successful business over the summer and beyond.
